I have to think about this…. soooo that tells me it has been far, far to long.
I started making Bento lunches for my son this year. Part of my ambitious plan to make lunch everyday for the entire school year. lol. It all began with this one. I post them each day – mostly to keep me honest. 🙂
Since some people refuse to join FB (and I’m sure that’s a good thing) I’ll be posting these here too.
Cop out? Maybe. But I have to start somewhere…
Happy Birthday Charles Darwin.
If you get a chance to pick up a copy of the recent National Geographic to read a fascinating article about Darwin. Plus tomorrow is Darwin Day
We almost didn’t make it to an advance screening of “The Alps“this morning. Entirely my fault, I’m just not a morning person.
I expected to enjoy this movie, instead I loved it.
The imagery is breathtaking, reminding me of what an amazing world we live in.
If I recall a line from the movie correctly. ‘The Alps have always attracted strong people”. I thought to myself ‘Slightly crazy too’. In a good way though.
I can skydive, climb a mountain never! I felt delicious terror just watching this film. This is an experience I would never had except for another person’s obsession with climbing the North Face of the Eiger.
I highly recommend that you see this film. It is awe inspiring.
I’ll be getting an email with a family & friends discount coupon in the next few days. If you’re interested, leave a comment or email me.
Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year!
Have a safe and wonderfully happy Canada Day!
Wishing only wounds the heart.
Oh, how deeply it does.
It’s happening. I’m losing someone very dear to me.
Denial isn’t working anymore.
I’ve never been much good at reality.
Isn’t this wonderful? I was was enchanted by this sweet bunny wreath. It was created by the talented felt artist Odile Gova. She deservedly won first place in the The One of a Kind Easter Bunny Competition. There are much better photos of her creation on flickr.
p.s. Apologies for the poor photo. (Yes, I took photos at the show. My addled brain decided that it was OK in a common area but not in the booths. Huh? Thank goodness I was discrete! lol. The photo police is the last thing I needed.) I’m using the camera on my phone which is handy but not great quality.
Our camera recently went kaput. Anyone have a suggestion/recommendation for a new one?
