I might just faint…

Commission:
a fee paid to an agent or employee for transacting a piece of business or performing a service.

I’m terrified.

Yup, some people (bless their hearts) were admiring my little book about my son. Now they would like me to make books for them too. For Christmas.

Gulp.

I said YES!!!!!!

phenom class – Altered Art Mini Album

I initially had reservations about this class, I was uncertain I would accomplish anything – nevermind an entire album. I mean really, classes are just social occasions aren’t they?

From the BizzyB Scrap & Stamp website:

ALTERED ART MINI ALBUM 6-10pm
GUEST INSTRUCTOR
CHRISTINA LAZAR-SCHULER

Create an adorable altered art-style mini album using 4×4 photos,
chipboard elements, cool stamps, funky embellishments & more.
You’ll be working outside your traditional scrapbooking box – helps you focus on the
idea, image and is just really, really fun! Time is an issue for me, so any
project I can finish in an evening is a big bonus… Imagine spending an evening
making a great gift for family or friends that the will treasure for years

I don’t attend many classes anymore – mostly due to time restraints. I make a special effort to attend Carmi’s fabulous classes whenever I can. I do go on (and on and on) about them don’t I? OMG – am I fawning?! Blech.

I now have a new instructor that I am impressed with. Her (Christina’s) mini book class and new rubber stamp designs are phenomenal. (I might have just bought 1 or 2 OK 3! – that’s all I’m admitting to)
If you are unable to attend one of her classes, I highly recommend purchasing the components online to make your own kit from her company Lazar StudioWERX Inc. She is very generous with her online instructions.

I actually have a little book of my son! Thank you Christina! No, it’s not actually finished but I’m workin’ on it.

I got out bid

It was a busy day today. Morning drop-in at SRCPC with my son. Home for lunch and settle in nap time. Kiss daddy goodbye and scurry off to Holly Jolly. Browse & buy to much stuff. Head back home (with a small detour to Tim Horton’s with June) to eat dinner & get the little man ready for bed. Shower, change and head to the SRCPC annual fundraising auction. There was some fun stuff up for auction. We missed part of the live auction as someone (not me) was dawdling. I don’t think we won a single thing this year. Phooey.

I’m in photo inventory H***

Really.

The good news is that we have a lot of pictures of my sweet, adorable, darling, angel son BUT at just over 1000 digital images. It’s a little overwhelming. At least I know the date, time and place these were taken. I really should have been doing inventory right from the beginning.

I can’t even consider the others right now. They are in a box (yes, a really BIG one) – out of sight, out of mind – with good reason.

I wonder if anyone else is a silly as me!

holly jolly sale

I love going to Carmi’s Holly Jolly sale. I mark it on my calender early.

I eagerly check all the vendor tables to see what is for sale – so much to oooh and ahhh at.

I always spend to much! I was well on my way to purchasing from each vendor’s table – I just ran out of time. I think this was a good thing.

This year I got there a little later than I planned. Thanks to my certainty that I didn’t need to consult a map or the directions. Really it must be the only place in Toronto that the streets aren’t in a grid formation.

Usually if I’ve been somewhere once, I can find my way back with minimal effort – quite a blow to the ego.

Thanks and hugs to Carmi for organizing another great event.

At opposite ends of the spectrum…

**** Warning ****

This is not a post for the faint of heart.

Ladies and gents – fans ready please

It’s definitely a HOT alert today. You either want to be him or he makes you swoon – at least that’s what I’ve heard.

Casino Royale, Live and Let Die, Moonraker, Diamonds Are Forever, From Russia with Love, Dr. No, Goldfinger, The Spy Who Loved Me, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, You Only Live Twice.

I read the books long before I ever saw a Bond film. I have to admit the hot factor is directly related to the films.

The first Bond film I recall seeing was Moonraker with Roger Moore. I have successively fallen for each new incarnation of Bond.

All this brouhaha because he’s blond.
Pah! Let’s be honest shall we? The main requirement for Bond is HOTness.

Get over the blond – it’s all about hot.

Masi Oka is my other hottie.

Who knew a geek could be well so… you know. * adorable * Don’t you just want to take him home? I’m having such a juvenile moment… and I haven’t even started on Dean.

Ta DA!!! – ATC completed

Ta DA!!! I completed my next ATC assignment ahead of the deadline.

Due Date: 17NOV06
Theme: Monogram
Supplies used –
Paper: Bazzill
Ink: Ranger
Stamp: Hero Arts (front)
Stamp: Catslife press (back)

Status: Complete
NEXT!

I really couldn’t decide what to make this time. I ultimately choose ‘R’ for Remembrance day.

I had several ideas rolling around the brain pan, however, this idea was the one that insisted on being done.

I tried to work on other ideas but they just wouldn’t work. I hope that now this one is done they will follow – just for fun.

The theme was ‘monogram’. I hope everyone likes it. You’ll have to come to the meeting to see the inside…
